O Don Waller presented that if WBGA pays for judges that the executive
committee will select the judges instead of the clubs nominating Marty Gipson suggested that the committee nominate one and the club

idea of a cap. Chad Nolan explained the process of picking the judges last year. Larry Edwards suggested raising dues $50 per year to offset some of the cost Don Waller suggested $50-$75 for judges, Larry Edwards explained that is not adequate with rising costs these days. Needs to be at least $100. Keith Gwatney made a motion to pay judges $100. Joe Freeman seconded the motion, all in favor. Motion carried. Keith Gwatney made a motion that all 13 clubs nominate a judge and the executive committee pick 8 judges with 2 alternates. Chad Nolan seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion carried. Marty Gipson suggested that the bi-laws be changed to reflect the judging
changes. Discussion about insurance for all the clubs, Larry Edwards pointed out that Mike Quinn had the information. Mike Quinn will send the information to Joe Freeman and Joe will investigate.
O Chad Nolan suggested that Joe Freeman ask about blanket coverage for
all members of the WBGA
• Don Waller has a schedule of trial dates. He will get that sent out to everyone,
• Discussion about a derby championship
O Questions arose about where to hold, who would pay, and when to hold
Chad Nolan suggested that since most clubs hold a derby trial that there be a high point hound award, to see how much interest there would be the first year Don Waller suggested that the executive committee will talk about the high point
hound award and present to the reps at a later date. Discussion about extra points in the high point hound category.
0 Joe Peavler discussed that there are no benefits for the western part of the
WBGA, due to smaller classes and no gun dog brace trials. Joe Peavler made the motion to do away with all bonus points with the exception
of state hunts. He motioned to add 10 points to all placing hounds at state hunts.
Keith Gwatney seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion carried.
